Let's be honest. For years, "alignment" became the ultimate spiritual get-out-of-jail-free card. But a lot of what we called "alignment" was just avoidance. When someone said, “this isn’t aligned,” it often meant something far more human and less evolved: “I’m overwhelmed,” “I overcommitted,” or simply, “I don’t want to do this anymore.” These feelings are valid, but dressing them up in spiritual jargon avoids responsibility.
